A non-private function incorporates other bookings in the Feasting chamber who form part of the evening as well as adding to the fun, atmosphere and festivities of the night. The whole evening includes having dinner in a Medieval castle with live entertainment throughout the evening with the Baron and his minstrels, lots of audience participation, sing a longs, fun and games, interaction with your guests. For weddings, the Baron will co-ordinate the loving cup ceremony. The evening also includes a 5 course meal, eat as much as you like, and Dancing, Disco, till 12.30 am.
We also hire out Medieval costumes to the guests before the function. They are beautiful outfits which the guests really enjoy wearing. The cost is from R100 per person and guests change on the way in. Medieval wedding gowns are also available for hire. Please enquire. Quotes with 30+ guests include the Kings table where the Bride and Groom are crowned as King and Queen of the Feasting Chamber, your booking must be for a minimum of 30 guests and highly important that all guests are dressed in Medieval costumes hired from us. Please advise your guests accordingly. Costumes can be arranged on the way in.
We have samples of invitations with medieval wording. We do not print invites but can send you the wording in keeping with the medieval theme. We have many ideas for wedding cakes.
The venue is done out like a Medieval castle with weaponry on the walls, suits of armour, large open fireplaces, long wooden tables and medieval artefacts, so it is unnecessary to spend a lot of money on flowers as the décor is very medieval and the hire is included. We use fresh rose petals and ivy which we scatter on the tables and up the aisle in the chapel before the function. They look beautiful and very in keeping with the Medieval Theme. A cash bar is available for your guests.
