Inhaca Island Lodge - NO LEGALITIES - ONLY THE WEDDING CEREMONY
Inhaca Island is situated across the bay of Maputo, just 40 km from the capital city of Mozambique. It is easily accessed with daily air transfers, just 10 minutes flying time from Maputo. There are also some boat companies that arrange boat transfers for larger groups. Inhaca Island has a lot to offer, from boat trips to the nearby Portuguese Island, which is a totally deserted island with magnificent white sandy beaches, and excursions to the Marine Biology Museum or the Inhaca Lighthouse. There is also a small village to provide some local colour or souvenir hunting. Inhaca Island is a true African Island, and an ideal weekend getaway with great appeal.
Mozambique is one of Africa’s up-and-coming hot-spots, with stunning beaches, excellent diving and magical offshore islands.
Go snorkeling around the Bazaruto Archipelago, sail on a dhow through mangrove channels or laze under the palms in the Quirimbas Archipelago or take an off-beat safari in the wilds of Gorongosa National Park. One can wander along cobbled streets past stately colonial-era buildings on Ilha de Moçambique, sip a café espresso at one of Maputo’s lively sidewalk cafés (or maybe a caipirinha at one of its jazz bars), watch the silversmiths at work on Ibo Island or dance to the country’s trademark marrabenta music.

The wedding ceremony takes place on Portuguese island. The reception dinner is done back at the lodge in the lapa area. A very pretty setting and memorable wedding and honeymoon in Mozambique. Highly important to book early because Inhaca is quite popular and will only do ONE wedding on a day.
The photos to your right are that of Theo and Janine Goosen who were married on Portuguese island on the 18th December 2009. A very beautiful ceremony on the sand. Top
